IDFC FIRST Bank has received its first-ever international credit rating from S&P Global: BBB- with a Stable Outlook. In simple terms, S&P looked at the bank’s capital, efficiency and growth, and said global lenders can trust it. That opens the door to funding from outside India, and it’s one more step for Indian banks going global. A Stable Outlook means S&P expects this rating to hold for the next two years.
